“Your time is limited, so don’t waste it living someone else’s life.Don’t be trapped by dogma - which is living with the results of other people’s thinking.Don’t let the noise of other’s opinions drown out your own inner voice. And most important, have the courage to follow your heart and intuition. They somehow already know what you truly want to become. Everything else is secondary.”- Steve Jobs

Seven Keys to Success - #1 Attitude.... and a test...

Pat Parelli defines the right attitude as being "Positive, Progressive and Natural." So let's break it down over a few days and start with -
Positive. There are several definitions for positive, but generally we understand it to be affirmative, constructive in intention, showing optimism and confidence. I'll bet that most of us would say, "oh, yeah, sure, I'm a positive person." But let's try a little experiment anyway. The next time you're going to visit, play with, work with, feed, or in any way be in the presence of your horse, DO THIS FIRST: take a moment to simply... Think... Positive. Use whatever process works for you, but what works for me is to simply be grateful that I HAVE horses to go through life with. I stop and say to myself, "Thank you to whatever force in the Universe has brought these beautiful friends into my life. I promise to do right by them." And then notice if your horses notice. My bet is that they do.
